About this World

A dying Norse world where the gods have perished and the sea is slowly freezing. Viking expedition groups, including the honorable crew of Thorstein and the brutal warband of Erik, battle frost giants for survival under the watchful eyes of three remaining Valkyries.

World History

After Ragnarok, the Aesir fell, but the world did not end. Left to fend for themselves, humanity's remnants took to the icy seas. Frost giants, emboldened by the absence of divine opposition, now encroach from the frozen north as the very oceans turn to solid ice. Viking longships now serve as mobile fortresses, their crews divided into rival expedition groups fighting for resources and glory in this bleak twilight age. In the sky, the last three Valkyries—Astrid, Helga, and the fallen Kara—observe the struggles below, their purpose uncertain in a world without gods.

An expedition group of hardy, loyal Vikings led by the steadfast chieftain Thorstein. They navigate the thickening ice floes, upholding the last shreds of honor and community in a dying world. Their primary mission is survival and protection, but they harbor a deeper, secret hope to find a new land or a way to reverse the frost.

Erik's Bloodscythes

Runic Ice-Forged Combat

A brutal raiding party led by the notorious criminal Erik. They see the apocalypse not as an end, but an opportunity for unchecked plunder and domination. They prey on other Viking groups, giants, and anyone with resources, viewing strength through cruelty as the only law left in the frozen world.

The Sky-Sisters

Runic Ice-Forged Combat

The last three Valkyries of a dead pantheon: Astrid, Helga, and the fallen Kara. They glide upon spectral wings between the clouds, observers bound by ancient oaths yet unable to directly intervene in mortal struggles. They act as guides, omens, and reluctant archivists of the world's final days.
